"Calling all Crafters" (or wanna-be crafters), the HBCA board has approved our Adult Craft Group! The mission is to share individual talents with other members that are interested. No artistic ability is needed. Our next project, Rock Painting, will be held on Thursday evening, May 30th from 6:30-8:30 pm in the Casino.
Most meetings will be held every other Tuesday. However, our second meeting had to be moved to a Thursday because of a previously scheduled event. We will be doing rock painting on Thursday, May 30th. You may pay a small fee for supplies (also $10-$15) or bring your own large rocks (washed), acrylic paints, paint brushes or acrylic pens. Please mark your calendar for the second and last Tuesday (or Thursday if there is a scheduled event in the casino) of each month from now thru the Fall. Please bring samples of your crafts or artwork (optional) that you have done in the past and we will create a calendar of classes. If you have never done a craft, come learn about crafting. In the next Shorelines we will provide specific dates and crafts for the summer. This group is open to all HBCA adult members. You can come to one or all classes as long as you RSVP by texting Mary Stokkers at 631-278-3952 by the Thursday before each session. Some other ideas for our group are flower arranging, cutting and pressing, jewelry making, beads and sea shells and glass, paint pouring, dot painting, decoupage and any craft you would like to share. We are looking forward to meeting our neighbors and crafting together!
